The decision framework

What to check before booking a course.

01

Name the skill each team member needs

Describe the skill or responsibility to develop, current experience and who will oversee the learning. Avoid using a course title as the objective.

Prepare the training checklist ↗
02

Confirm eligibility and prerequisites

Ask the training organization what qualifications and experience are required. Review scope, supervision and practice requirements with the relevant qualified advisers and clinical lead.

03

Compare the learning format

Ask about supervised practice, group size, instruction, assessment, equipment used and how progress is evaluated. Confirm what the course fee actually includes.

Use the same questions for each course ↗
04

Plan support after the course

Define how the team will apply learning, obtain support, document assessment and revisit gaps. Build the learning plan around the practice’s responsibilities rather than the certificate alone.

Ask more than “Will I get a certificate?”

A consistent question set for course scope, format, prerequisites and follow-up.

Before you move on.

Are these courses or certifications?

NuWays MD does not sell or certify these courses. The worked comparison uses two named programs to explain the differences between learning formats. Confirm the current program details with the organizer.

Does this determine whether someone can perform a treatment?

No. Eligibility, scope, supervision and competence require the appropriate jurisdiction-specific and professional review. A completed checklist does not grant permission.

Will NuWays send my brief to training providers?

No. You can save your checklist to NuWays MD or download your own copy. Saving does not send it to a training organization.

What should I compare besides price?

Compare prerequisites, teaching format, supervised practice, assessment, instructor experience, equipment, included materials and ongoing support. Ask the provider to clarify exclusions.

Take a consistent question set with you.
