Which comparison should you start with?

A simpler morning routine

The CeraVe moisturizer-and-SPF format combines two steps. Its label points you to a water-resistant sunscreen for swimming or sweating.

A separate facial sunscreen

The Ultra Light Fluid adds labeled water resistance in a facial format. A pleasant feel under makeup remains something to assess for yourself.

One format for face and body

Melt-In Milk has a larger verified bottle and the lowest calculable unit cost here. That does not prove it is the best facial texture for you.

Our selection and evidence

AAD advises broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and water resistance. These products illustrate different formats, including one that does not meet the water-resistance criterion. They were selected for accessible manufacturer information, not to represent the whole market.

Brand finish and skin-type claims are not NuWays MD test results. Both brands belong to the same parent company, L’Oréal; this is limited product coverage, not a broad independent market survey. Mineral and tinted options remain outside this comparison.

Price per mL is bottle price divided by volume, not cost per protected day. The CeraVe calculation uses the 50 mL DailyMed label and is conditional on purchasing that pack; the newer fluid listing did not yield a verified size, so no unit price is invented.

CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30

Consider for: A moisturizer-and-SPF format for a normal-to-oily skin routine

Its combined format makes it relevant to someone simplifying a morning routine. That is a convenience rationale, not evidence that it protects better than another correctly used sunscreen.

Why it is included

Combines moisturizer and SPF; manufacturer describes an oil-free, matte finish.

What could rule it out

A separate water-resistant choice is needed for swimming or sweating. We have not tested its feel or appearance on different skin tones.

$19.9950 mL label size; indicative $0.40/mL if buying this pack at $19.99. Confirm retailer pack size. Observed September 14, 2026. Tax and shipping excluded.Check the manufacturer listing

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Milk SPF 60

Consider for: A face-and-body option with labeled water resistance

Its labeled use and water resistance make it relevant for comparing outdoor-use requirements. A higher SPF number alone does not establish the better everyday experience.

Why it is included

One face-and-body format; labeled 80-minute water resistance.

What could rule it out

The largest verified bottle in this comparison also has a higher upfront price than the moisturizer format. Water resistance does not remove the need to follow reapplication directions.

$37.99 / 150 mL150 mL bottle; about $0.25/mL Observed September 14, 2026. Tax and shipping excluded.Check the manufacturer listing

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Fluid SPF 60

Consider for: A dedicated facial sunscreen with labeled water resistance

Consider this format if you want a separate facial sunscreen with labeled water resistance. It is not established as more effective or better tolerated than the other options.

Why it is included

Adds a water-resistant facial format to the comparison. The manufacturer describes a fluid texture for use alone or under makeup.

What could rule it out

The cosmetic feel has not been tested by NuWays MD. Without a verified pack volume, its bottle price is not a valid unit-price comparison.

$35.99Package volume not confirmed in the accessible manufacturer listing; unit price withheld. Observed September 14, 2026. Tax and shipping excluded.Check the manufacturer listing

When these three are not enough

If you want mineral filters, a tint or a different cosmetic finish, widen your comparison. If you recently had a procedure, use your clinician’s product instructions. This list cannot establish what is suitable for recovering skin.

Before you buy

Does a higher price mean better protection?

No such conclusion is established here. Compare the protection label, application directions and the format you can use consistently.

Is a higher SPF a reason to skip reapplication?

No. Follow the product’s directions. Water resistance is time-limited and does not mean waterproof.

Why is one unit price conditional and another missing?

A fair calculation needs the actual pack being sold. We show where that match is uncertain rather than presenting false precision.
