Ask for a supervised demonstration using the proposed handpiece; confirm provider qualifications, eye protection, room requirements and a written maintenance schedule.
The NuWays buying perspective / laser hair removal
The best starting point is the service you can repeatedly deliver.
A dedicated hair-removal device is worth investigating when you have evidence of recurring demand, a qualified team and room capacity. A multiservice console becomes a different investment case: its additional modules must address real demand instead of simply expanding the brochure. This is our purchasing interpretation, not a clinical ranking.
Separate wavelength from delivery.
GentleMax Pro Plus and Elite iQ use 755 nm alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG technology. Soprano Titanium uses clustered diode wavelengths. Similar wavelength numbers do not make the hardware, cooling or treatment workflow interchangeable.
The buying implication: compare a representative appointment from setup through turnover using the exact delivery package. A claim about firing speed alone does not establish how many additional appointments your team can complete.
Hair characteristics, skin color and the area being treated affect results. Operator experience matters. The American Academy of Dermatology also explains that some hair colors respond poorly to laser hair removal. A broad “all skin types” sales claim is not a sufficient patient-selection policy.
The buying implication: let your clinical lead review the intended population and labeling before you forecast appointment volume. Count demand your team can appropriately serve, rather than every inquiry.
Three buying situations, three different investigations.
A new practice with unmeasured demand
Start with a narrower opening service plan and a demand test. Your equipment ceiling must leave room for opening costs and working capital. The equipment options to investigate is useful now; committing to the largest platform is a separate decision that the current evidence may not support.
An established practice with recurring requests
Compare a dedicated dual-wavelength system with a diode alternative. The decision should turn on clinical workflow, actual appointment capacity, service coverage and total ownership terms. Use the same appointment assumptions for each quote.
A practice adding several services
Add a configured multiservice workstation such as OptimasMAX to the comparison only if the other modules have a defined role. One console can consolidate services, but it can also make multiple service lines depend on the same asset and service interruption.
What changes the economics?
A lower acquisition price can be outweighed by replacement components, cooling supplies, service exclusions or downtime. A faster platform creates financial value only when there is demand and staff time to fill the capacity it frees. Package sales also differ from collected revenue per delivered appointment; use a consistent revenue basis in the model.
A worked operating example: not a market benchmark
Suppose a practice collects $180 per appointment, spends $15 on variable supplies and $45 on incremental labor. Contribution is $120. With $1,200 in added monthly fixed costs, operating break-even is 10 appointments per month before purchase recovery, debt payments and tax. Twenty additional appointments contribute $2,400 before those fixed costs. Replace every example input with your own evidence.
What would change our starting shortlist?
A verified used-system service agreement, a different patient mix, a binding consumable contract, overlapping equipment or an unfavorable clinical demonstration could change which systems deserve further consideration. Current new-system prices are not established by our dealer listings. A 2019 GentleMax Pro asking price cannot tell you what a new Pro Plus configuration will cost.
Evidence boundary: the sources establish technology and general clinical context. We have not established a head-to-head winner or comparable current vendor offers. This guide therefore lists unranked equipment options to investigate and explains why each one is included.

Evidence, not a price promise
Know what the number means.
Reviewed September 13, 2026. This is a curated research catalog, not a market-share ranking or complete inventory. Manufacturer sources establish technology descriptions; they do not establish clinical suitability for your patients.
Asking prices are individual observations.
Published dealer prices are not completed sales, appraisals or new-system MSRP. Availability, year, condition, included modules, taxes, freight, licensing and support must be confirmed. Missing pricing stays unknown.
Ownership costs need a written quote.
Ask for installation, training, consumables, service, subscriptions and transfer conditions. Direct source links appear on every device record. No referral agreements are active; listed companies are not represented as NuWays MD partners.
